FilmDiner Production Studios is a professional film and photo soundstage: but created for indies who don't have Hollywood budgets!
Finding sets for indies is next to impossible. Most of the time, we film in grandma's garage, or in our own bedroom or living room. And it shows. Audiences don't believe our films because our locations are very low quality and not designed for filmmaking or photography.
FilmDiner's sets are professional studio sets: on some of them you can remove a wall, or move a wall. We have 12 foot ceilings so you can properly light "cinematically". We have tons of grip gear including camera dollies, track, cranes, and more.
The biggest mistake ALL filmmakers make is buying gear they can't use weekly. Instead, FilmDiner buys the gear, and you can use it for free! We've owned everything: ARRI and RED cameras, cinema prime lenses, high end audio gear, a crazy amount of lighting.
If you need to borrow gear outside of the studio, we also offer "rental" prices that are 80% cheaper than any rental house.
Every member of FilmDiner is someone who is either living a professional film career, or heading that way. We are "amateurs" to Hollwood, but we make content audiences want. If you can't afford the budget for a crew, our members have up to 6 years working together bartering and trading for films.
Also, our members are dedicated. From background actors all the way up to our cinematographers, they won't flake on you. If there are ever disagreements over a contract between members, we will artibrate those fairly and for free.
Unlike every other studio in the world, our studio has amazing prices! Our regular membership price for 24 hours of filming (including your gear!) is $200 per 24 hours. But, if you're a member of the higher pledge tiers, you can get studio space for as little as $0 for 24 hours -- that's right, as cheap as FREE, including gear.
We are able to do this because our members are trustworthy, and because our members make an annual pledge to cover the cost of rent and heat and water and insurance: that means every dollar we make beyond the pledge goes to buying better gear, and building better sets!
